Somalia arms embargo key legislation

Somalia arms embargo key legislation
In 2007, UN resolution 1744 specified that the arms embargo would not apply to supplies of weapons, military equipment, and technical training and assistance intended solely for the support of use of the African Union mission to Somalia (AMISOM) mission and its restoration and humanitarian work. Find out about AMISON on the page in this guide on Somalia arms embargo key legislation. Somalia is also subject to Trade Controls under Schedule 4 Part 3 of the Export Control Order 2008. This means that the destination is subject to transit control for military goods. For more information, see our guides on transport controls and trafficking and brokering (trade controls).
