Most Beautiful girls in Africa

Most Beautiful girls in Africa

The 2010 edition of the Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria pageant took place in Lagos about a week ago with 18-year-old Fiona Aforma Amuzie (Miss Plateau), emerging the winner with a ticket to represent Nigeria at the 2010 Miss World pageant. As always, the beauty pageant projected some Nigerian girls into national and international prominence. Without sounding like our modern pastors, the lives of many of these girls will never remain the same.
Very view Nigerian people, products and events have competed against the best in the world and have emerged winners. In 1985, Nduka Ugbade led the U-17 football team to win the maiden edition of that tournament. That feat was repeated in 1993 and 2007. In 1986, Professor Wole Soyinka won the Nobel Prize for Literature, the first Nobel Prize for Literature in Africa. In 1996, Chioma Ajunwa won the gold medal at the Atlanta Olympics. At that same Olympics, Nwankwo Kanu led the Under-23 football team to win the gold medal. In 2001 Agbani Darego, who was the Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria, was crowned the Miss World. It was breath taking - the first time an African would win that pageant. That was a big plus to the image of Nigeria.
